My name is Callie Miller. I'm a Hoosier born and raised, a typical small-town girl, a student at Indiana University, but most of all I'm a music nerd. I'm here to talk about the music I love.

Growing up in small town La Porte, Indiana, there wasn't much to do to keep me entertained, so I spent the majority my time involved in music in various ways to keep me busy. In middle and high school I was always the choir nerd or band geek whether it was concert choir, show choir, voice lessons, or marching band.  Music helped me grow in every way possible. It helped me overcome shyness, gave me something to work hard for a be proud of, and gave me an identity and a home.

While my own days of being on stage and in the spotlight are over, I certainly have not given up on music in my transition to college. My college career has been dedicated to discovering all the best in music and I've become a bit of a music history buff. Thanks to some amazing music professors Indiana University, I've had the opportunity to study the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, and the histories of rock, country, jazz, blues, and so much more.

These are the experiences that have inspired me to pursue a career in the music industry. I'm studying journalism and public relations in hopes of working in music publicity and marketing after I graduate, I'm so excited to see where life leads me.

More importantly I'm excited to share music with you!
